IIT-UAE (IIT in Dubai)

The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) does not need any introduction as such. It is an autonomous public technical university located In India. This is under the jurisdiction of the Indian government and one of the prestigious Engineering colleges. There are a total number of 23 IITs all over India in which 16 IITs were established after 2004. These colleges are governed by the institute of technology act, 1961 and Indian Parliament declared them most important institutes of the nation. According to NIRF ranking 2020, Indian Institute of Technology Madras(IIT Madras) is the topmost institute in India which is considered the best institute across the nation. The first such college Established in Kharagpur in the year of 1950 at the site of Hijli Detention Camp. It was named Indian Institute of Technology or IIT before August 18, 1951. IITs are also called Engineering colleges. Studying at IITs is a big dream of every engineering student in India. The IITs were formed to prepare scientists and engineers. In a historic development, India announced to set up the first Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Dubai as a part of India-UAE trade deal signed on February 18, 2022. It will be the first time that an Indian institute IIT will be set up in a foreign country. In this bilateral meeting between representatives of both countries, a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed on 18 February. Union Minister Piyush Goyal (Minister of Commerce and Industry) signed an India-UAE trade meal with the delegation of UAE, led by Minister of Economy Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri & Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani Bin Ahmed-Al-Zeyoudi. It is a matter of pride for every Indian that our education system is spreading all over the world. IITs are well known for offering various engineering programs like Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and so on. A four year BTech course is the most popular course taken by students at IIT. IITs also offer a 5-year dual degree program integrating Master of Science or Master of Arts. The creamy layer of engineering aspirants is taken into the IITs through the JEE exam. Similarly, intake of faculty to the IITs is also no less stringent. Each professor at IIT should be a PhD degree holder in his respective field. With excellent professors and a well designed format of education and curriculum, the IITs produce engineers of unmatchable calibre all over the world.

Residential facility at hostels within the campus, Central libraries of a superior standard which are open throughout the day, Sports facilities like basketball courts, cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, lawn tennis, Athletics and other, Each hostel has separate grounds for the different sports. 100 Mbps internet connection for 24X7 with no usage limits, Campus also has its own hospitals, shopping centres, temples etc along with beautiful gardens and scenery.

The admission in all IIT colleges of India is carried out through the entrance examinations, namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Applicants have to clear these two phases, firstly JEE mains and then JEE advanced in their first attempt conducted by JoSSA. Qualification of marks are Compulsory for all two phases to secure a seat in IITs. The total number of seats in all IITs is 16,234 as of 2021. Only 1.2% of students who appeared in the JEE advanced examination are selected in IITs.

Now the big question is that Who can appear in JEE mains and JEE advanced exam? Students after passing the intermediate with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for the JEE mains and JEE advanced examination. Once you clear the mains exams, you can take the advanced exam. There are three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for JEE mains and JEE advanced.

Now we’ll discuss about exam pattern of JEE mains and JEE advanced -: Exams will be conducted in various languages like Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. There are three sections in the question paper, Physics, Chemistry and Math. Each section is of 100 marks which means a total exam of 300 marks. Question paper will be multiple choice based. Time Duration will be 3 hours. Each question will be 4 marks. There will be negative marking of 1/4th which means the correct answer will be awarded four marks and incorrect answer will be marked negative by 1 mark.

Some of the noteworthy companies are Google, Facebook, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Mckinsey, Microsoft, Yahoo, Samsung, Siemens, Texas Instruments and much more. These companies are the world leaders in their respective fields and work. Acquiring a job at one of these companies will not only give an exponential growth but also grow your career financially and will also enable you to learn immensely.

Finance companies offer over 20 lakhs per annum average salary. Tech companies like Google, Facebook, Sony etc also offer huge salaries mostly to computer science students in the range of 10 to 20 lakhs per annum. In 2015, the placement of a third-year student of computer science from IIT-Indore to Google, for a yearly salary of 1.7 crores has caught the attention of the whole world.
